Document Q

Taking effect from 1 October 2015, the Approved Document Q: Security – Dwellings sets out standards for doors and windows to resist attack by opportunistic burglars by being adequately robust and fitted with suitable hardware. It supports Requirement Q1 of Schedule 1 of Building Regulations 2010 and only applies to new build dwellings. Many of UAP’s hardware products meet the requirements of Approved Document Q.
