The UAP+ 1 Star CylinderThis 1 star BSi Kitemarked and Secured by Design approved cylinder is the best choice for inexpensive home security. Created in accordance with the British Standards KM561977 and tested to EN1303:2005 standards the cylinder can be fitted to any external handle, including our new UAP Nanocoast Patio Door Handle.

Security Features:
Anti-bump:
The UAP patented anti-bump system is unique in that it does not use trap pins. Trap pins cause cylinder entrapment – which means the cylinder will lock up and won’t open from the inside – creating a fire hazard. Our system keeps the lock operational from the inside and also offers an extra smooth key turning manoeuvre.
Sacrificial Cut:
The cylinder has 2 sacrificial cut lines on each side, so when force is applied they will break away preventing the cylinder from snapping at the central mechanism. This leaves the cylinder operational and the mechanism intact.
Anti–drill:
There are 7 hardened steel anti-drill pins on each side of the cylinder, with the moving pins made of nickel plated hardened steel to 50 HRC minimum, protecting against drilling attacks.
Anti–pick:At least 3 anti–pick pins have been put on each side of the cylinder to stop picking.
Key Options
The lock comes with over 800,000 different key combinations and its unrestricted keyway makes it much easier for customers to get keys using the UAP key blank.
Full keyed alike and master suite services are available and the cylinder can be keyed alike to a rage of cylinder types including the 3 star Kitemarked Kinetica and UAP rim cylinders.
