Whether it’s in the Fullex UKAS accredited testing centre or in our very own quality control test house. Every one of our products is meticulously tested to ensure they are everything we claim them to be!

That includes the Fullex Patio Door Lock, which is not only PAS24 security tested, but also salt spray and cycle tested to prove not just how secure it is, but how durable it is and capable of lasting through the years.

PAS24 Testing

UKAS stands for ‘The United Kingdom Accreditation Service’ and it is the national accreditation body, recognised by the government, in the UK. UKAS assesses and oversees any organisation that provides certification, testing, inspection and calibration services, against internationally agreed standards.

To get PAS24 certification a UKAS accredited laboratory must be used. As a supplier you can reassure your customers that the certification has been attained from and the products tested in a lab which complies with the agreed standards and can be easily recognised for that.

Fullex testing centre is UKAS accredited laboratory number 2259.

PAS24 provides a method for assessing the security against authorised forced entry from an opportunist burglar. The test is meant for ‘doorsets and windows intended to offer a level of security suitable for dwellings and other buildings exposed to comparable risk.’

The direct load and manual intervention testing in our lab provide a method of testing the security of the product against the PAS24 testing standards.

Fullex testing services work closely with Secured by Design and our test results are accepted by BSI, BRE, BBA and Q-Mark for inclusion within their third party certification schemes.

Local authorities and housing associations frequently specify to these standards and the tests listed are the basis for Secured by Design accreditation. Since October 2015, the PAS24 test became the basis for Document Q compliance on new build homes.

The Fullex Patio Door Lock is fully PAS24 compliant.

The lock has also been salt spray tested to BSEN1670 Grade 5 (for sever corrosion) in excess of 480 hours. It comes with a 10 year guarantee.

The UAP Patio Door Handle, which simply perfects the patio door is also salt spray tested ASTM B117 for 2,000 hours. It is made with 316 grade stainless steel and comes with a lifetime coating guarentee.
